St. Nicholas Party!!! {Hats, Decorations, Cupcakes, Games and more!}

Our 6th child, Hannah, who is 6 years old, has a incredible love of Santa right now. I'm not sure why, we have never made Santa important. In fact I try not to talk about Santa at all. But somewhere, somehow, she decided that Santa is the best guy in the world!
With that in mind I planned a BIG party for St. Nicholas's feast day! I hope it can shift her attention back to the right focus.
Here are my plans for the day!!

Aside from hanging up the kids stockings the night before St. Nicholas' feast day, so they will find little gifts inside them in the morning, I also have a party planned.

Party Hats and Decorations
Here is our party hats:
It can be used as decorations, too!!
Here is this hat / decoration printable:
St Nicholas Hat and or decoration

St. Nicholas Beard
To go with our hats, we made St. Nicholas beards!
These are made from paper plates and white pipe cleaners.
Half a pipe-cleaner is pushed through each side and used to hook around each ear.

Watch and Read

Next is:
Cupcake Toppers!
Sorry, I don't have a picture of these in a cupcake, since I didn't make ours yet.
but here is the printable:

St. Nicholas Party Games!!!
Penny Tossing Game
Toss pennies into shoes.
See who can get the most pennies in a pair of shoes!

Santa is St. Nicholas Game
Place the miter and staff onto Santa!
(Like Pin the Tail on the Donkey)
I laminated mine and put magnets on it so it could be played at the fridge!

A St. Nicholas Giving Box
And we're topping it all off with a fun and meaningful craft!
I'm having the kids make a "Giving Box"!
I hope this will serve as a reminder to the kids to save for the poor throughout the year.
Here's the printable I used, but you could decorate your "Giving Box" with anything!
I liked this chimney design, so the kids could throw their "gifts" down the chimney, like St. Nicholas did in some of the stories about him!
Here's how I use the printable:

Okay, it's going to be a busy day on Thursday!! (Dec. 6)
Hope you have a great day!
