Hi everyone!
I hope you are all having a great week!
St. Valentine's day is quickly approaching! Can you believe that!?!
My family and I have decided to celebrate St. Valentine's day early this year, since Feb. 14 falls just after Ash Wednesday, during Lent. We don't what to disrupt the somber Lenten fasting with cookies and candy. So if you are like us, please, plan ahead!

I'm not sure if you all know this, but St. Valentines day had officially been removed from our Catholic Liturgical Calender. (You can read about that here), so Feb. 14 isn't actually a St. Valentine's Feast day anymore. But because our society is still celebrating "Valentine's Day" , I felt we, as Catholics, should try to turn this celebration into one with a Catholic twist! Personally, I can't see that children should be asking each other to be their "valentine" -that's for older teens and adults. So in my celebration plans, I tried to focus more on children remembering that Jesus loves them and they should love Jesus!
So here is our *Catholic Inspired* St. Valentine's Day Printables and Activities!
St. Valentine ~ Cut and Paste Activity
I made it to be simple for younger kids, but also meaningful for older kids.
Simply, cut the shapes out and paste them onto the large heart. (As pictured)
I recommend printing it on stock paper, but regular paper will work fine.

Catholic / Christian Conversation Hearts
These hearts are great for many things!
We used them to decorate our "St Valentine's Day Tree". Plus they were fun for sticking all over the house to help brighten it up during these dark winter days.
They would also be great for homemade Valentines and St. Valentine's day crafts!
They would make great labels for gifts too!
They could be cute cupcake toppers, as well!!

Free Printable Valentines!!
Here is a page of "Jesus Loves You!" valentine tags.
I made these to be used as tags on bagged candies, pencils, or lolly-pops.
My kids discovered they are also a perfect size to use as bracelets!
Just staple them together! ;-)

"There is no Greater Love..." Printable Valentines
Here are a few pages of printable valentines.
I made these last year, but this year I made a new version of these.
I was able to update them to look more like I wanted them to look last year. I'm adding links to both here so you can choose which ones you like the best!
How to use them:
- Simply print the Valentines onto stock paper.
- Color them if you printed the black and white cards
- Fold the ends over the picture.
- Add a sticker or tape to keep it closed.
- Write who the card is to and from on the back.

I haven't done one of my 22nd link-up parties in awhile. How about I add one today?
Sure it's a day late, but I don't think you'll mind!

So grab your tea and a comfortable chair. Then share with us what works for you and your family and checkout what other Catholics have to share with you. Hopefully you'll find something that can help you and your domestic church!

These are great. Would you please make the bracelets printable in black and white? Thank you for considering!
Thank you so much, Gabrielle! You should be able to print them in black and white. Just change the setting on your computer before printing. Thanks again and God bless!
You have some wonderful ideas here! Great idea to celebrate before Ash Wednesday, we will be doing that at our house.
Gabrielle, Do you mean black and white to color? I'm sorry, I think I may have misunderstood you! I'll see what I can do to make them into something you can color. Blessings.
Thanks Jen! I was kinda sad when I saw Feb 14 was during Lent. But like I've said before, kids don't care if you celebrate late or early! Blessings to you and all your kiddo's!
Yes, Jennifer, I just wanted to have something my class can use to color and then either share or wear themselves. I can't afford to print in color for the entire group. Thank you so much!
Okay, Gabrielle, I added a page that can be colored. I did my best. I hope that will work for you! Gotta run! God bless you and your class!
Thanks so much for these wonderful resources! God bless you! :-)
Wow! Thank you so very much for accomodating my need. You're a real blessing!
Wow! I must go get my ink cartridges refilled immediately :-). Good idea to celebrate early. I wasn't sure what to do about the 14th being the day after Ash Wed!!
Thanks for sharing so many of your valentine crafts; my girls are going to enjoy them all! And thanks for hosting the link up.
This is a great post!! Just wondering, are you going to open the linky?
Hi Jennifer, I was wondering the same thing as Xhonane. I finally have one that I could post but it's closed. Let me know if you open it up and I'll add mine to it. Thanks!
Hi Xhonane and Noreen! I'm sorry for being so slow to answer your comments. Family life has been keeping me very busy! I have reopened the link-up for you. Thanks for asking to link-up!! Blessing to you all on this feast of Our Lady of Lourdes! ♥♥♥
Hi Jennifer, I love your St. Valentine printable and used it this year. Thanks for sharing it. I'm also new to your blog but will be a regular now. :-) God bless you.
