Gifts of the Holy Spirit ~ Paper Plate Craft {Spanish, too!}

This project is great for Confirmation, Pentecost, or any event that
centers around the Holy Spirit or the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Bless me with:
Knowledge to know right from wrong
Fortitude to stand up and be strong
Understanding to follow God's way
Piety to worship and pray
Counsel to enlighten and guide me
Wisdom to feel Your presence beside me
Fear of the Lord to always be awed
by the mighty wonders of our God!

The Craft:

Art supplies you will need:
  • Copy of the dove and tongues of fire (English and  Spanish downloads in Members Area)
  • large paper plate
  • Yellow, orange, and red Crayons
  • glue
  • scissors
Color the paper plate to look like a halo or sun with rays coming from the center of it.
Cut out the white dove and glue it to the center of the colored plate.
Note: For a more 3-D look, don't glue down the wings, only glue the body.
Cut out the tongues of fire and glue them to the plate in whatever way you desire.
Here are a few ideas:
For extra fun, you could also add glitter or glitter-glue to the plate and tongues of fire.

My second oldest daughter shrank a copy of the craft download and
created an art project on colored paper, too!

This download is available for free in our Members Area!
Look for it in the "Sacraments" or "Pentecost" sections in the members area.

Hi Jennifer,
I'm just printing out your Gifts of the Holy Spirit craft for my first graders. I will be using it on Sunday to teach my students about Pentecost. I know it's early, but this will be our last class and I want them to learn about the Holy Spirit. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your gifts!

Hi Jennifer! Just wondering if you would be interested in a Spanish version... the names would be: sabidurĂa, inteligencia, consejo, fortaleza, ciencia, piedad y temor de Dios. Let me know!

Also, there is a Pentecost party here:
